La domenica torniamo dal cottage a Rovaniemi dove visitiamo l'Artikum (perché 2cv è anche Cultura). Prima salutiamo il nostro amico giornalista che ha passato una giornata assieme a noi! Passeggiare per le vie di questa città non offre angoli di meraviglie, privata di un anima, dopo la ricostruzione, avvenuta in seguito alla seconda guerra mondiale, dove venne rasa al suolo! Non sembra di essere in Lapponia e non ha nemmeno le caratteristiche dei casermoni di periferia delle città dell'est Europa! Priva di un'anima, mi ricorda tristemente la città di Longarone(BL), dove le ferite in seguito al disastro del Vajont non le trovi tra la gente ma nell'architettura!

On sunday we went to visit the Artikum centre (because 2cv is even culture). First, in the morning, we said goodbye to our friend, a swiss journalist that has spent a day with us! Walking around this town doesn't offer so many wonderful viewpoints, deprived from a soul, due to the reconstruction of the period just after the 2nd World War, when the town had been razed. It doesn't seem to be in Lapland, neither in some scenarios of the east of Europe, in the outskirt of some eastern towns with their huge buildings. But Rovaniemi, without a soul, remember me sadly about Longarone, a small village in the italian mountains, known for having been destroyed by the disaster of the Vayont dike in 1963. There, you cannot see the wounds amongst people, but you can clearly see them just looking at the architecture.

E torniamo nemmeno dopo dieci mesi dopo a trovare il grande vecchio. Mi dice che porterà il carbone a Berlusconi, replico dicendo di darlo al mio amico Eddi, almeno ci cucineremo una grigliata

After quite ten months we come back to visit Santa Claus. He tells me he wants to bring a huge pack of coal to Berlusoni, but I suggest him to bring it to my friend Eddi, at least we'll use it to cook a special meal on the grill!

Oggi magico ritorno sulla collinetta fatata, poi visita ad uno dei negozi più antichi della Finlandia... Al ritorno nei cottage ci aspetta, la 'smoked sauna' ed  il tuffo nel lago ghiacciato. La cena a base di renna preparata da Pävli... E i giochi del Raid Olimpics, musica, canti tipici finlandesi e tante risate!

Today another time up to magic hill and then a visit to one of the oldest shop in Finalnd... once in the cottage, the smoked sauna and the jump in the frozen lake are waiting for us. The dinner with reindeer meat lovely prepared by Pävli... and the games of the Raid Olimpics, music, typical finnish songs and a lot of laughs!
